No Enrollment Changes Allowed for Dental and Vision
This is the second year of SERS’ two-year dental and vision enrollment period.
The 2024-2025 enrollment period will end December 31, 2025, regardless of your effective date of coverage. You must pay monthly premiums through December 31, 2025.
Your next opportunity to make changes will be in fall 2025 when Dental and Vision Biennial Open Enrollment mailings will be sent. Enrollment changes will take effect on January 1, 2026.
SERS Medicare Coverage
Aetna Medicare Plan PPO premiums are remaining the same in 2025.
The in-network primary care office visit co-pay is decreasing to $0 from $10. There are no other benefit changes.
Aetna Medicare enrollees will not receive a SERS mailing this year. Aetna will mail its Annual Notice of Change document to enrollees in mid-September.
Aetna will mail the 2025 Over-the-Counter Product Catalogs and new Aetna ID cards in December. Enrollees should continue to use their current 2024 catalog and Aetna ID card through December 31, 2024.

In 2025, the Part D Express Scripts plan for the Aetna Medicare Plan PPO will have a $2,000 annual out-of-pocket maximum.
An out-of-pocket maximum is the most an enrollee pays for covered medications in any calendar year. Most SERS enrollees will spend far less in co-pays during the year. SERS estimates less than 1% of enrollees will reach this maximum.
SERS Non-Medicare Group Coverage
Aetna Choice POS II premiums are increasing by approximately 7%.
AultCare PPO premiums are increasing by approximately 3%.
The ambulance out-of-pocket amount will change to a $150 co-pay from 20% coinsurance. There are no other benefit changes.
SERS mailed Open Enrollment letters and the Non-Medicare Health Care Plans and Premiums Guide at the end of August.
Coverage automatically renews when no medical plan changes are requested. In addition:

SERS Marketplace Wraparound HRA
The Wraparound HRA reimbursement is increasing to $2,150 per family from $2,100.
Premiums and benefit changes for 2025 will be mailed directly by the enrollee’s Marketplace plan.
At the end of August, a SERS mailing that included the Non-Medicare Health Care Plans and Premiums Guide was sent out.
