Board Approves New Definition of Compensation
At its November 2024 meeting, the SERS Board adopted a new modernized definition of compensation to better align with how employers are currently compensating employees. The new definition is set forth in new administrative rule 3309-1-02 and will replace the existing definition of compensation effective July 1, 2025.
For your convenience, the new Rule 3309-1-02 is available for review on the Ohio Legislative Service Commission’s website: https://www.registerofohio.state.oh.us/pdfs/3309/0/1/3309-1-02_OF_N_RU_20240930_1512.pdf.
