Ballots for Employee-Member Seat Due by March 6
At its December meeting, the Board certified that Becky Roe and Aimee Russell submitted sufficient petitions to qualify as candidates for the four-year employee-member seat term that begins July 1, 2023, and ends on June 30, 2027. Both Roe and Russell are running for a first term on the Board.
All active members will receive a ballot and postage-paid return envelope by early February. Ballots must be returned no later than 4:30 p.m. EST on March 6, 2023, to be valid. Ballots will be counted on March 7, 2023.

Becky Roe ![]() Becky earned a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Management from Ohio Dominican University and holds a Master’s in Health Studies from the University of Alabama. Becky has two adult children, two grandchildren, and resides in Pickaway County with her spouse Jim. |

Russell is seeking a board seat to be the voice for the classified staff. The current board is heavy with treasurers that can lose sight of who makes up the vast majority of retirees. She will fight so that all can retire with dignity and with the benefits earned and deserved. Russell is an active participant in her OAPSE local. Currently she is on the grievance writing committee. She’s served on healthcare, labor management, and negotiating committees. Prior to being employed and immediately joining OAPSE, Russell helped to gather signatures and organized protest rallies of SB5. She marched with OAPSE/AFSCME for affordable healthcare in Washington. Russell fights for ERA. She’s a mother of two teenage boys. |
