Service Credit Purchase (SCP) Reporting and Payment

Once you are issued a letter with the cost of compulsory service credit or non-contributing/optional service credit, you have 30 days from the date on the letter to make payment to SERS. After that 30-day period, the letter expires and a new one must be issued.

You can choose to make direct payment to SERS, or for Foundation-qualified employers, notify SERS to use funds from the Foundation Program deductions to make payment.
